South River's English Department is very proud of its wide variety of classes. Aside from the four required courses, the English department has numerous electives, ranging from literary magazine to theater. The English Department’s twenty-one teachers are dedicated to reaching each and every one of South River's students during their four year stay.
In its continuing effort to expand its course offerings, the English department has hired minority teachers who specialize in minority languages ... like Esperanto. Ancient Latin. Pig Latin. Egyptian hieroglyphics. Morse code. Fortran. Cobol. French.
The English 10 Honors Summer Reading and Writing Assignment is now up from Mrs. Boothby.
AP United States History Students have created a presentation based on the novel The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini. Hosseini's protagonist, Amir, grows up as a wealthy Sunni Muslim in Kabul, the nation's capital. Enter Amir's World
