Student Government Assembly

The SGA is made up of officers, executive board members and "at large" representatives of the student body. They meet once a month during the school day on a rotating mod basis. SGA members plan and provide for activities that benefit the schoolÕs population and community. These activities include two annual Red Cross Blood Drives, Homecoming events (including Spirit Week events such as float building and parade, King and Queen elections and the Pep Rally), and lobbying the Maryland Legislature on youth related bills. Students do not need a 2.0 GPA to be a member of the governing body.

Officers and representatives participate in monthly countywide meetings of the Chesapeake Association of Student Councils (CRASC), monthly executive board meetings and annual Maryland Association of Student Council (MASC) events.
